Não leve flores

As fotografias, relatos e objetos de Não Leve Flores contam como as decisões do mundo reverberam no íntimo dos corpos mais vulneráveis à arbitrariedade dessas decisões. Como esses corpos se agruparam, entre amigos e familiares, diante de um momento de mudança que representou o estabelecimento da intolerância como ideia válida, para se tornarem mais fortes, como na união do cardume que se torna um peixe maior.
“Não leve flores”, título da série, é uma música do compositor cearense Belchior. “Difícil é saber o que acontecerá, mas eu agradeço ao tempo. O inimigo eu já conheço. Sei seu nome, sei seu rosto, residência e endereço. A voz resiste, a fala insiste, você me ouvirá. Não cante vitória muito cedo, não. Nem leve flores para a cova do inimigo. Que as lágrimas do jovem são fortes como um segredo, podem fazer renascer um mal antigo.
”A série é um documento do que fizemos, nós, bichas, sapatões, homens e mulheres trans, travestis, bissexuais e panssexuais, etc., na noite do dia 28 de outubro de 2018. Estejamos atentos ao olhar para os retratos: este país segue sendo onde mais se mata LGBTs no mundo e estamos vivas.
A série é uma colaboração entre os artistas Rodrigo Pinheiro e Ton Zaranza.

These portraits and objects tell how the world’s decisions reverberate within the most vulnerable bodies. How these bodies got together, with their friends and family, in the face of a moment which represented the establishment of intolerance as a valid idea. Ultimately, how these bodies became stronger like when fishes are schooling becoming one larger fish.
Don’t bring flowers, title of the series, is a song by Brazilian composer Belchior. “The enemy, I already know. I know your name, I know your face, residence and address. The voice resists, the speech insists: you will hear me. Do not sing too early, do not. Do not even bring flowers to the enemy’s grave. That the youth’s tears are strong as a secret.” The series is a document of what we did, we queers, dykes, trans men and women, bis and panssexuals, etc., on the night of October 28, 2018. Let us also be aware when looking at the pictures: this is the country that kills the most LGBTs in the world and we are alive.
